Silver price in Egypt after the latest update, 24 September 2026

Silver continues to draw interest in Egypt as a savings and investment option alongside gold, particularly for buyers who want a precious metal at a reachable price.
Fine silver (999) was quoted at about 82.31 pounds a gram today, with sterling silver (925) near 76.14 pounds. An ounce came in around 2,560 pounds.
In larger units, 100 grams of fine silver works out at roughly 8,231 pounds, and a full kilogram at about 82,314 pounds — the weights favoured by anyone treating silver as a long-term store of value.
One figure investors watch is the gold-to-silver ratio, currently around 85. It says an ounce of gold is worth roughly 85 ounces of silver, and some use it to judge which of the two looks better value.
Silver's accessible price makes it a sensible entry point for anyone starting to save in precious metals with small regular amounts rather than waiting to accumulate a large sum.
Silver purity is graded much like gold. Fine silver is 999, sterling is 925 — the grade most jewellery and accessories use — and 800 sits below both. The higher the number, the purer the metal and the higher the value.
Silver markets sometimes move sharply within a few hours, more so than gold, which is why a single day's move is a poor basis for a decision to buy or sell.
